THINKCAR Renault Group SGW Tokens

The THINKCAR Renault Group SGW Tokens provide access to the Security Gateway (SGW) of Renault and Dacia vehicles. Starting from model year 2019, these brands have integrated an SGW that prevents unauthorized access to electronic vehicle systems. Without unlocking, this security feature blocks functions such as clearing fault codes, actuator tests, and calibrations via the OBD port.

How tokens work
Unlike the annual licenses for FCA, Mercedes-Benz, and VAG, the Renault Group SGW operates via individual tokens. Each token provides 24 hours of access to one specific vehicle, identifiable by its VIN. This makes the system suitable for garages that only occasionally service a Renault or Dacia vehicle with an SGW, without needing to purchase a full annual license.

Available Packages
The tokens are available in four quantities: 10, 20, 50, and 100 tokens per purchase. This allows garages to adjust the number of tokens to their expected workload, from occasional use to intensive daily operation.

Activation and Storage
After purchase, the tokens are automatically added to the digital wallet of the Thinktool device and linked to the device's serial number. The tokens are not transferable to another device.

Official Approval
For use, approval from the Renault Group may be required, with an average processing time of approximately two weeks. This ensures secure and official access to the protected systems.

Compatibility
Exclusively available for original European Thinkcar Thinktool devices. An active software or update subscription on the device is required to use the tokens.
