Launch VSP-600 Digital Inspection Camera – 5.5 mm Videoscope for X-431 Diagnostic Equipment

The Launch VSP-600 is a compact digital inspection camera for viewing parts and areas that are difficult or impossible to reach with the naked eye. Thanks to its slender 5.5 mm camera head, flexible 2-meter cable , and integrated LED lighting, this videoscope is particularly suitable for inspection work on vehicles and technical installations.

The VSP-600 was developed as an extension for compatible equipment from the Launch X-431 series. The camera connects to the diagnostic device via USB, allowing live images to be viewed directly on the scanner's screen. Photos and videos can be saved for documentation or further review.

Its compact design allows the camera head to be inserted into cylinders, piping, body cavities, and other narrow openings without unnecessary disassembly of parts.

Inspect Without Extensive Disassembly

With the Launch VSP-600, a technician can quickly perform a visual inspection in places normally only accessible after disassembly. This makes the camera practical for detecting wear, contamination, damage, leaks, blockages, and foreign objects.

The camera delivers images with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels, allowing parts and surfaces to be clearly visualized on the connected Launch diagnostic device.

Slender 5.5 mm Camera Head

The camera head has a diameter of just 5.5 mm. This allows the VSP-600 to be used in relatively small openings, for example when inspecting engine parts, pipes, or narrow body components.

The flexible cable has a length of 2 meters, allowing access to deeper-seated components.

Lighting in 6 Levels

Dark engine compartments and enclosed components often have little to no ambient light. That's why the VSP-600 is equipped with integrated LED lighting.

The light intensity can be adjusted in 6 levels . This allows the lighting to be adapted to the inspection environment and helps to reduce overexposure with reflective parts.

Capture Photos and Videos

During inspection, photos and videos can be captured on the connected Launch X-431 diagnostic device. The physical snapshot button on the inspection camera allows for quick saving of a still image without interrupting the inspection.

This function is useful for:

Documenting defects
Comparing parts before and after repair
Recording carbon deposits or wear
Showing findings to customers
Storing inspection results with a diagnosis

Includes Handy Inspection Attachments

The VSP-600 comes with various accessories that expand its inspection capabilities.

Magnet Attachment
Suitable for picking up small metal parts, such as a bolt, nut, or other object that has fallen into a hard-to-reach area.

Hook Attachment
Can be used to remove small parts or objects from an opening or pipe.

Mirror Attachment
Allows viewing parts from a different angle when the camera head cannot be directly aimed at the surface to be inspected.

Suitable for Various Inspection Tasks

The Launch VSP-600 can be used for a wide range of technical inspections.

Engine Inspection
View pistons, cylinder walls, valves, and combustion chambers, among other things, and check for wear, damage, or carbon deposits.

Body Inspection
Inspect hard-to-reach hollow spaces for corrosion, damage, or the condition of wiring, for example.

Component Inspection
View internal parts of components such as transmissions, compressors, catalytic converters, and other mechanical systems, provided they are accessible via a suitable opening.

Pipes and Hoses
Check pipes, hoses, and ducts for blockages, contamination, or foreign objects.

Integration with Launch X-431

The VSP-600 is designed for use within the Launch X-431 diagnostic ecosystem. With a compatible diagnostic device, the inspection camera can be directly connected and used via the supported videoscope function.

The connection supports USB 2.0, USB Type-C, and Micro USB, depending on the device used and the available port.

Since not every X-431 model supports the same accessories and functions, it is advisable to check beforehand whether the specific diagnostic device provides support for the Launch videoscope module.
