THINKCAR VAG Security Gateway License (1 year)

The THINKCAR VAG Security Gateway license unlocks the Security Gateway (SGW), also known as SFD (Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose), on modern Volkswagen Group vehicles. This security layer was introduced by VAG starting from model year 2020 to detect and prevent unauthorized modifications to the vehicle, and, without a valid license, blocks functions such as codings, adaptations, and basic settings on protected control units.

Supported Brands
The license provides access to vehicles from Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Škoda, Cupra, Bentley, and Lamborghini.

What is Unlocked
With an active license, the technician can once again perform codings, adaptations, parameterizations, and advanced diagnostic functions on protected control units, including engine electronics, central electronics, instrument cluster, gateway electronics, and multimedia unit.

Validity and Activation
The license is valid for 1 year and is linked to the serial number of the Thinktool device. After purchase, the license is automatically added to the device's digital wallet.

Compatibility
Available for original European Thinkcar Thinktool devices. An active software or update subscription on the device is required to activate and use the license.
