THINKCAR FCA Security Gateway (1 year)

The THINKCAR FCA Security Gateway (SGW) License provides authorized access to the secured systems of FCA vehicles. Since model year 2017, FCA has gradually introduced a Security Gateway in its vehicles, a trend that has increased every year; since 2020, this module is virtually standard on new FCA models. The SGW acts as a firewall that prevents unauthorized access to and manipulation of critical on-board systems. Without a valid license, it is impossible to perform calibrations, actuate components, or clear fault codes on secured modules.

Supported Brands
The FCA group includes Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, and Ram Trucks. This license unlocks the SGW on all these brands once the vehicle is equipped with this security.

What is Unlocked
With an active license, the technician regains full access to bidirectional functions such as calibrations, relearns, actuator tests, and adaptations, in addition to being able to fully read and clear fault codes on modules that would otherwise be blocked by the gateway.

Validity and Activation
The license is valid for 1 year and is linked to the serial number of the Thinkcar device. After purchase, the license is automatically added to the device's digital wallet and is not transferable to another device.

Official Approval
FCA group approval is required for activation, with an average processing time of approximately two weeks. This ensures that access is entirely through the official, FCA-certified infrastructure.

Compatibility
Available for devices from the Thinkcar Thinktool series (e.g., Thinkdiag, Thinktool Pro, Thinktool Pros, Thinktool Master), exclusively for original European Thinkcar devices. An active software or update subscription on the device is required to activate and use the license.
